History

District Jalaun continues to establish new dimensions of progress even after being backward region. There have always been some people coming out in the community who have done the work of giving a direction to the society. In the same way, there is a name among the hard-working community, a young leader and a social worker, Chaudhary Vishnupal Singh, who always had a desire to work for the development of Jalaun district.

When the discussion of establishing a college in the Kalpi region was discussed with Chaudhary Vishnupal Singh for a wider expansion of higher education, he gladly accepted it as a challenge and took this responsibility on his shoulders. To give real shape to this project, adequate availability of earth and land was made by Chaudhary Vishnupal Singh and a dedicated couple for the development of higher education, Dr. Arun Kumar Srivastava and Dr. Veena Srivastava accepted the task of linking the development of the college with his lifestyle. While Dr. Arun Kumar Srivastava has implemented the plan. The entire responsibility was taken on his shoulders while Dr. Veena Shrivastava, Mrs. Purnima Saxena and Mrs. Willa Raje took the initiative to create awareness for the promotion of higher education among the women of the region.

Chaudhary Vishnupal Singh paved the way for the development of higher education by dedicating his 25 acres of arable land to the college of the village, Attarakalan. The progress of the college was favourable to the positive thinking of Mrs. Iccha Raje. After the construction of the building, the college started teaching from 25 October 2001.

Continuing on the path of progress, this college was awarded a BA in the year 2001. Due to organizational efforts, BSC Mathematics and Biology classes in the year 2002 were recognized. In the year 2004-05, BSC. (Agriculture) was also recognized. Moving towards success, the college started classes in the Department of Teacher Education (B.Ed.) and Physical Education Department (B.P.Ed.) in the year 2006. Along with this, state-of-the-art science laboratories were established. in addition to laboratories, administrative buildings and 20 lecture halls equipped with modern equipment were also established.

In addition to the large laboratories and modern laboratories of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and lecture halls and the huge courtyard, the building expansion work is in progress.


It has just started...... The people of the region have the distinction of having the highest faculties of all the colleges affiliated to the State Government, University Grants Commission, Bundelkhand University.
